HOW TO GET RID OF THEM
The term "pilling" (sometimes also referred to as "peeling" or "wash pilling") describes small fiber knots on the surface of Fabrics such as merino wool, silk or cashmere. Pilling is caused by loose fiber ends that detach from the fabric. Mechanical friction then leads to the formation of unsightly little balls.

It is perfectly normal for cashmere and merino wool fabrics to develop a few small balls of fiber and pill slightly, especially at first. Pilling refers to the formation of small balls and fuzz on clothing. These are caused by loose fibers that come loose from the fabric due to friction. But be aware: Pilling has absolutely nothing to do with quality problems! Regular care of cashmere, silk and merino products is part of the long-term maintenance of these textiles.
